About This User GuideΒΆ

The purpose of this user guide is to describe how to install and use Cambium LINKPlanner.

Cambium Networks provides the LINKPlanner application with the following products:

  • 60 GHz cnWave, ePMP (PTP mode), N500, PTP 250, PTP 450, PTP 450i, PTP 550, PTP 650, PTP 670, PTP 700, PTP 800, PTP 810, PTP 820 and PTP 850 equipment.
  • cnWave 5G Fixed, 60 GHz cnWave, cnRanger, ePMP, N500, PMP 450, PMP 450i, PMP 450m and HCMP equipment
  • TX2000 switches

note

PTP 300, PTP 400, PTP 500 and PTP 600 are supported in V4.x.x versions or 32-bit instances of the V5.x.x or later releases

Use LINKPlanner to help predict where and how equipment will work. It allows the network planner to answer these questions:

  • Will each link transmit data fast enough for the user?
  • Will each link be reliable enough for the user?
  • Which Access Point will be best for a subscriber?

LINKPlanner can also be used to quickly prepare project estimates and generate a complete Bill of Materials for the current range of PTP, PMP and WiFi products that Cambium offer.
